About the Role

Leeds City College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Assessment Team Lead to join their team. As a key member of the College's Engineering department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of apprenticeships and inspiring the next generation of engineers.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Visit apprentices in the workplace, liaising with employers, mentors, and College teaching teams to ensure timely and successful completion.
  • Lead and supervise a team of assessors, including appraisals, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Manage a caseload of learners, organizing workplace assessment visits and meetings with employers.
  • Produce and monitor individual learning plans for learners and contribute to their updating.
  • Lead, contribute, and participate in assessment and quality assurance procedures for all programmes.

About You:

  • Have engineering experience, preferably in the utilities sector or related industry.
  • Have previous experience working with young people and apprentices.
  • Hold a minimum of Level 4 qualification in an Engineering discipline.
  • Hold an assessor's award V1, TAQA, or equivalent.
