Millbank Holdings is seeking an experienced Civil and Structural Engineer to join their team on a 12-month contract. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of design principles and experience working in the highly regulated nuclear industry.

The Opportunity

This role involves reporting to the Engineering Manager, who is appointed as the Design Authority (DA), and ensuring that decommissioning projects and new plant introductions meet regulatory obligations.

This is a Contract role, inside IR35, with a duration of 12 months, location in Chester, and a salary range of £60-£65 per hour.

Your Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Provide support for projects, advising on Work Package structure for efficient delivery.
  2. Specify engineering deliverable requirements.
  3. Review contractor output against project requirements, providing comments and feedback.
  4. Participate in HAZOP studies and optioneering exercises.
  5. Author substantiation documents for equipment meeting Safety Case Performance Requirements.
  6. Uphold UNS Engineering standards.
  7. Advise the Engineering Manager on project status.
  8. Hold a HND or degree in engineering discipline.
  9. Minimum 5 years' experience in Nuclear or Heavy Industry.
  10. Understanding of design principles.
  11. Building induction required upon arrival at site.
