About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer / Associate Engineer to join our team at Norse Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the design and management of Mechanical services for all construction projects across a variety of building works.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage Mechanical services projects, including producing budget estimates, drawings, detailed service specifications, and tender documentation.
  • Promote the use of renewable technologies and deliver Mechanical projects in full in accordance with clients' brief and professional standards.
  • Supervise, direct, and manage the Mechanical engineering team, including team resource planning, management, and monitoring of workload.
  • Input to office resource plan and monitoring of profile and loss on all projects to ensure that projects are run efficiently.
  • Prepare schemes, including the use of CAD, produce budget costs, detailed specifications, analyze tenders, and supervise installations.
  • Act as the single point of contact on specific engineering issues across a range of clients.
  • Promote and manage the competitive, efficient, and effective delivery of Mechanical services installations and energy management services to clients.
  • Responsible for identifying new business opportunities and contributing to the achievement of business plan objectives and targets.
  • Frequent travel to other offices and sites as required.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Professional membership of the Chartered Institute of Building Service Engineers and working or prepared to work towards Chartered status.
  • Extensive experience in a similar related role.
  • HNC/HND in a Mechanical Engineering related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in a similar related role.
  • Holds a current site card or is prepared to immediately attain.
  • Familiar with construction, health, and safety legislation and risks and hazards associated with asbestos.
