About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our team as a Deputy Ward Manager at Priory Hospital Middleton St George.

As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will play a key role in the delivery of excellent care and the ongoing development and improvement of the ward. You will work closely with the Ward Manager to ensure that the ward team possesses the skills, knowledge, and motivation to deliver the highest quality of care to service users with complex mental health needs.

The successful candidate will have noticeable leadership skills, a strong drive to develop other members of the team, and a commitment to upholding MHA and MCA standards. You will also be responsible for ensuring that clinical records are well maintained and systems are in place for staff to communicate effectively on clinical issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deputise for the Ward Manager in their absence
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of ward policies and procedures
  • Lead and manage a team of nurses and other healthcare professionals
  • Ensure that the ward team is equipped to deliver high-quality care to service users
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care delivery and make recommendations for improvement
