About the Role

The Priory Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to fill the position of Deputy Ward Manager at our hospital in Darlington. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to individuals with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Ward Manager to develop and implement effective care plans that meet the needs of our service users.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the ward team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that all aspects of care are delivered in accordance with the Mental Health Act (MHA) and the Mental Capacity Act (MCA).
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care pathways for our service users.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with service users, their families, and carers to ensure that their needs are met and their voices are heard.

Requirements

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a mental health setting.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
