About the Position:

We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a thriving All Through SEND school in Enfield. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work alongside teachers, the SENCo, and other team members to provide tailored support to students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN).

This role involves adapting lessons and learning activities to meet the individual needs of each student, including those with conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, and other learning barriers. You will also work closely with the SENCo to develop and implement customised support plans for each student.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver 1:1 and small group support for students with various SEN, adapting your approach to meet individual learning needs
  • Assist students with conditions such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and other learning barriers, encouraging them to engage and participate in lessons
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and SENCo to implement customised support plans
  • Foster social and emotional skills in students, promoting independence and self-confidence
  • Help maintain a positive classroom atmosphere, ensuring a safe and inclusive space for all learners
  • Record and report student progress, offering insights to the SEN team to adjust learning strategies when needed
