Job Description

Eleven is seeking a highly skilled Senior Market Risk Analyst to join our Risk Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing and managing market risk across our global commodity trading operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily analysis of trading positions, profit and loss, and Value-at-Risk (VaR) on an aggregate portfolio basis down to the trading portfolio level.
  • Ensure adherence to our Securities and Trading (S&T) Control Policy and escalate issues to the appropriate level when necessary.
  • Create, adjust, and validate price curves in collaboration with our front office team to ensure accuracy and market exposure.
  • Work with our IT and Risk Control Global teams on system and ad-hoc projects to drive the adoption of digital tools, global alignment, and timely implementations.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis of commodity price volatilities, correlations, absolute prices, VaR, and other duties as assigned.
  • Act as a steward for trading system data.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Risk Control/Market Risk gained within an Oil & Gas or Bank trading environment.
  • Ability to analyze large data sets to enable insightful analysis that explains drivers in exposure, P&L, and VaR to our Supply & Trading organization.
  • Highly proficient with Excel and trading database applications.
  • Ability to work closely with IT on system and digital projects, troubleshooting issues, and driving changes needed.
  • Ability to work closely with S&T trading and trade analysts to provide theory and logic of the risk values presented in the Daily Management Risk Report.
  • Strong interest in acting as and developing into a market risk subject matter expert.
