Job Title: Automotive Electrical Test Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Electrical Test Engineer to join our team at a globally recognized automotive company in Cranfield. This long-term contract role offers the potential for several years of work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform automotive electrical and electronic tests related to HMI, Navigation, Infotainment systems, Telematics, and mobile phone applications.
  • Work according to a project schedule to ensure timely completion of test activities.
  • Execute test cases aligned with defined scenarios in both static and dynamic conditions.
  • Analyse test results and report on software quality, including identifying defects, tracking defect status, and communicating with stakeholders.
  • Conduct basic vehicle disassembly to access key components within the vehicle.
  • Utilise vehicle diagnostic tools for testing and analysis.
  • Prepare and maintain vehicles or components for testing, adhering to local procedures and clients engineering manuals.
  • Support testing in various conditions to gather accurate, timely, and quality test data/results.
  • Collaborate with Test Engineers to evaluate and identify concerns.
  • Contribute to meeting the Key Performance Indicators for the section.
  • Provide support to other sections as needed.
