Job Title: Senior Systems Developer

The Leonardo Cyber Security Division is seeking a Senior Systems Developer to contribute to the design, development, and testing of secure systems.

As a Senior Systems Developer, you will lead technical work and collaborate with teams to develop and implement secure systems, including information management systems, command and control systems, and security monitoring of IT, IoT, and CNI systems and services.

You will have the opportunity to take ownership and implement the engineering delivery of one or more work packages, including planning, estimation, execution, and progress reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to system design and low-level design using technical experience and best practice.
  • Develop, integrate, and test system solutions, including development of scripts in support of system automation and integration.
  • Progress and status reporting to internal customers.
  • Configure and administer system security tools, including SIEM systems, IDS/IPS, and Endpoint Detection and Response.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and faults to diagnose problems and offer proposed solutions.
  • Implement security control measures, including enabling operating system lockdown controls.
  • Develop systems engineering artefacts, including documentation to support the delivery and maintenance of system solutions.
  • Mentor other team members in area of specialism.
  • Provide specialist technical support to the business unit, supporting the project or wider programme.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience within a systems engineering or IT solution delivery role, preferably working in a secure environment.
  • Strong all-round technical ability with an excellent working knowledge of network and systems infrastructure technologies.
  • Awareness of cyber security capabilities is advantageous.
  • The role requires the candidate to be cleared to be a sole UK national with DV clearance.
  • Good working knowledge and experience of Wintel IT systems, including Microsoft Active Directory services, Windows and Linux server installation and builds, virtualisation technologies, and enterprise class patching/update solutions.
