Autism Learning and Development Specialist

We are looking for an exceptional Autism Learning and Development Specialist to join our team at Teaching Personnel. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a mainstream primary school.
Main Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing tailored support plans to meet the individual needs of children with ASD.
- Collaborating with teachers, teaching assistants, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support services.
- Providing guidance and training to parents and carers on how to best support their children's education and well-being.
- Fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes positive relationships and outcomes for all students.
- Contributing to the development and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
Requirements:
- A Level 2 qualification in a relevant field such as Supporting Teaching and Learning, Childcare, or SEND.
- Significant experience working with children with ASD or other special educational needs in a primary school setting.
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective support plans and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to meeting the needs of individual children.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive school environment.
Salary: The salary for this position is estimated to be around £25,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
This is a full-time position based in Burnley, East Lancashire.
