About the Role

Fugro is seeking a highly skilled Supervising Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QAQC) Engineer to join our Geotechnical Laboratory in Wallingford, Oxfordshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) checks and approvals for laboratory test results, including routine testing and effective stress tests performed to BS1377, ISO, and ASTM standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform QA and QC checks and approvals for laboratory test results
  • Assist in the processing and reporting of advanced test methods
  • Support stakeholders with project progress and respond to queries
  • Work collaboratively with the team to deliver high-quality results on time
  • Identify and report problem areas in the process for continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in geotechnical/civil engineering or a relevant scientific or numerical subject
  • Relevant laboratory or engineering experience, ideally in testing and issuing laboratory tests and reports
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in creating, modifying, and using MS Excel spreadsheets with embedded macros
