About the Role

Fugro is seeking a highly skilled Supervising Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QAQC) Engineer to join our Geotechnical Laboratory in Wallingford, Oxfordshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) checks and approvals for laboratory test results, ensuring high-quality results are delivered to Fugro's engineering departments on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform QA and QC checks and approvals for laboratory test results, including routine testing and effective stress tests performed to BS1377, ISO, and ASTM standards.
  • Assist in the processing and reporting of advanced test methods.
  • Support stakeholders with queries regarding project progress.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to deliver high-quality results and strive for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in geotechnical/civil engineering or a relevant scientific or numerical subject.
  • Relevant laboratory or engineering experience, ideally in the testing and issuing of laboratory tests and reports.
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in creating, modifying, and using MS Excel spreadsheets with embedded macros.
