Grounds Maintenance Operative/Driver Position

Thrive Group is seeking a Temporary Grounds Maintenance Operative/Driver to join our team. This role involves performing various tasks, including grounds maintenance, vehicle checks, and driving Company vehicles safely around the Stroud district area.
Responsibilities:- Carry out routine grounds maintenance in various locations throughout the district/external locations in accordance with service level agreements.
- Undertake daily checks of the vehicle before use, ensuring it's in good working order.
- Report any problems with the vehicle on relevant paperwork and to the relevant department immediately.
- Undertake required paperwork to ensure compliance with transport legislation.
- Comply with all transport legislation & Highway Code, accepting responsibility for traffic infringements.
- Drive Company vehicles safely, showing due regard for other road users and local residents.
- Dispose of recyclables, general waste & cuttings at licensed disposal sites, complying with site rules.
- Ensure vehicle is left clean and empty at the end of each working day.
- The planting and maintenance of trees, shrubs, and annual bedding schemes.
- Grass care and maintenance, including grass mowing using mechanical equipment.
- Undertake visual daily checks of machinery or tools before use, ensuring they're in good working order.
- Apply pesticides as necessary.
- Sports turf maintenance.
- General cleansing operations to green spaces and locations, including sweeping, litter collection, and removing animal droppings.
- Emptying & cleaning dog/litter bins according to agreed schedules.
- Remove fly tips, fly posting, and sharps as instructed by Supervisor/Team Leader.
- Snow and ice clearing during the winter period.
