Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for minimizing downtime, fixing breakdowns, and ensuring the efficient operation of our equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Breakdown Support:- You will be the first point of contact for maintenance and breakdown issues.
- You will ensure that the site is maintained in line with GMP standards.
- You will log all breakdowns and fixes in our CMMS system.
- You will complete scheduled maintenance and ensure that it is properly logged.
- You will work with OEMs, suppliers, and contractors to handle permits and other tasks.
- You will assist with the installation and decommissioning of equipment.
- You will diagnose issues quickly and take prompt action.
- You will stay on top of safety and maintenance inspections.
- You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using engineering drawings, manuals, and systems.
- You will perform fault-finding using engineering computer systems.
- You will not only fix issues, but also look for ways to improve processes and increase efficiency.
- You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, safety, and reduce waste.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a time-served engineering apprenticeship (minimum Level 3 qualification) and experience with electrical maintenance. You will also need to be able to communicate clearly and be organized. Additionally, you will need to have experience with CMMS systems and be willing to obtain a Level 3 qualification in Food Safety & HACCP.
