Children's Home Deputy Manager Position

Area Camden is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team in providing high-quality care and support to young people aged 11 to 18.
Main Responsibilities:- Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the service delivery, promoting a caring environment that meets individual needs.
- Supervise and monitor the care delivered to young people, ensuring legal and up-to-date registration requirements are met.
- Work under the direction of the Registered Manager, deputising for them as needed, and supporting with the supervision of Key/Support Workers.
- Support the Registered Manager with the recruitment and training of staff, ensuring the team is equipped to provide high-quality care.
- Recognise and assess individuals' needs, involving relevant professional agencies and relatives where necessary, to formulate personalised care plans.
- Provide high-level personal care and attention to young people, following individual care plans and ensuring all contact is polite, friendly, and supportive.
- Promote the social and emotional wellbeing and development of young people, striving to further develop these skills.
- Ensure services are delivered in a non-judgmental and anti-discriminatory manner, challenging oppression or discrimination in a positive and appropriate way.
- Responsible for understanding and complying with statutory and legal requirements, including Ofsted, COSHH, Health and Safety, and the Children's Homes Regulations 2015.
- Residential childcare experience of at least 2 years.
- Hold a Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
- Child Protection experience.
- Leadership and staff supervision skills.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Management of budgets and staff rotas.
- Project management skills and an enthusiastic disposition.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal development.
