Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Class 1 LGV Driver to join our Transport Department in a key role that requires a high level of responsibility and commitment to excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining a modern fleet of vehicles, adhering to strict shift patterns, and ensuring timely deliveries and collections.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain a fleet of vehicles in accordance with company standards and road safety regulations.
- Adhere to agreed shift patterns to ensure timely deliveries and collections.
- Execute deliveries to HGV-friendly locations with precision and care.
- Perform trailer swaps or oversee live unloading and reloading processes as required.
- Ensure accurate completion and maintenance of documentation for each journey.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to guarantee roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.
- Represent DPDgroup professionally at all times, maintaining a courteous and respectful demeanor with customers and colleagues.
- Promptly report incidents, delays, or issues to relevant supervisors or managers.
- Acknowledge and adhere to all relevant traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A valid UK Class 1 driving license.
- A minimum of 12 months Class 1 driving experience.
- A valid UK Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) Card.
- A valid UK Digital Tachograph Card.
- Demonstrated ability to load and unload trailers as required.

About the Role
