We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Biomedical Scientist to lead our Blood Transfusion team at Nuffield Health Brentwood Hospital. As a key member of our pathology team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing blood transfusion services that meet the highest standards of quality and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with clinical teams across multiple hospital sites to develop and implement blood transfusion services that meet user requirements and ensure quality standards are met.
- Ensure incidents and errors are reported and action plans are enacted to prevent recurrence, with thorough documentation on our quality management systems.
- Collaborate with colleagues across all Nuffield Health Hospital sites to standardize and optimize blood transfusion practices, ensuring adherence to relevant quality standards.
- Maintain full traceability for all blood products issued and serve as a subject matter expert in transfusion specialist knowledge.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in haematology, blood transfusion, and biochemistry to provide expert support during out-of-hours services.
