Job Overview

Searchlight is seeking a seasoned professional to lead its international film sales efforts. As Head of International Film Sales, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to maximize revenue globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to corporate strategy across production and sales
  • Establish and maintain relationships with international film distributors and streamers
  • Develop and implement successful sales and distribution strategies for each film
  • Negotiate and close deals with independent distributors and/or streamers across international territories
  • Assemble sales projections for new titles
  • Represent Searchlight film titles at key international markets
  • Build and maintain a knowledge base of sales and market intelligence
  • Collaborate with marketing and filmmakers to develop B2B marketing strategies
  • Assess market value of potential productions and co-productions, advising internally

Requirements:

We are looking for an experienced film sales professional with a deep understanding of key deal terms across territories. You should have a strong track record of handling complex negotiations with international film distributors and streamers. A knowledge of the international buyer landscape is essential, as is the ability to work closely with filmmakers and internal financiers to advise on international market value.
