Procurement and Contract Management Opportunity

We are working with a Public Sector organisation to help recruit a Contracts Manager to join their Strategic Procurement team. This role is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on the community and lives of the residents by delivering public services across the local area.

Your New Role

As a Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for leading the organisation's approach to the procurement of goods, works & services efficiently within the complex regulatory environment of public sector procurement. You will manage and govern a portfolio of corporate contracts to help gain increased value from suppliers, mitigate risk and control the overall spend.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve organisational objectives
  • Manage and govern a portfolio of corporate contracts to ensure compliance with public sector procurement regulations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate and manage contracts
  • Provide advice and guidance to senior leadership on procurement and contract management matters
  • Develop and review organisational contract management strategy and related frameworks & policies
What You'll Need
  • A relevant degree or procurement & supply chain qualification (CIPS Level 6)
  • A broad understanding of the public sector procurement and Public Contract Regulations 2015
  • Experience working closely with and advising Senior Leadership
  • Confident communication and negotiation skills, with a focus on building strong corporate supplier relationships
  • Contract management experience within the public sector
