We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join our team at Benefact Group. As a key member of our Legal and Secretarial Team, you will provide timely and effective legal advice and support to our business units.
Your primary responsibility will be to review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and agreements, ensuring they are aligned with our company strategy and culture. You will also identify key legal risks and provide adequate support to mitigate them.
In addition, you will work closely with project teams to support the delivery of business and project objectives, build effective relationships with stakeholders, and maintain a controlled standard suite of contracts.
Key Responsibilities- Providing general legal advice on commercial, technology, data protection, intellectual property, and regulatory matters
- Identifying key legal risks and ensuring adequate support is provided
- Liaising with project teams to support business and project objectives
- Building effective relationships with stakeholders and business areas
- Maintaining a controlled standard suite of contracts
- Staying up-to-date with legal developments and identifying changing legal requirements
- Qualified as a Solicitor in England and Wales with 3+ years of post-qualification experience
- Experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts and agreements
- Desirable experience in financial services and in-house legal roles
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to design rational and proportionate solutions
