About the Opportunity

Health Recruit Network is seeking a skilled Senior Theatre Practitioner to join our client's team in Guildford. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to take on a challenging role in the Theatre department.

The ideal candidate will have post-registration qualification relevant to functional specialty, such as Advanced Scrub Practitioner or Surgical First Assistant qualification for scrub leads. They will also have ENB 998 and/or mentorship course, Approved/recognized anaesthetic course, ILS certification, Orthopaedic skill, ILM3, and previous experience working within an acute healthcare environment.

The successful applicant will deliver safe quality care for patients during their peri-operative phase of care, support, coordinate, and actively assist in the management and organization of care within the operating department. They will provide quality planned care for patients during their peri-operative phase of care by ensuring all team members deliver quality patient care by providing appropriate clinical and managerial leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe quality care for patients during their peri-operative phase of care
  • Support, coordinate, and actively assist in the management and organization of care within the operating department
  • Provide quality planned care for patients during their peri-operative phase of care
  • Lead in the delivery of patient care during a list or specified period of time
  • Ensure that patient safety checks are carried out in accordance with the policy and that all practitioners adhere to the policy
  • Contribute to quality improvement
  • Develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of others and self
  • Promote best evidence-based practice within own scope of practice
  • Achieve agreed objectives and demonstrate Private Hospital Group behaviors at all times
