About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our team in Glasgow, supporting the manufacturing process and testing of multiple military-based products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Optical alignment and construction of optical subassemblies
  • Complex optical bonding using a mixture of optical adhesives
  • Optical handling and cleaning
  • Analysis of optical components using interferometers etc.
  • Calibration of optical subassemblies and tooling
  • Work in multi-disciplinary teams
About You
  • A good understanding of general physics
  • Good practical and experimental skills
  • Inquisitiveness – ability to question results and then answer those questions
  • Self-motivated and capable of working alone and within teams
  • Good written and oral communication skills to allow effective communication with peers, and both technical and non-technical customers.
Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge of optical instruments
  • Knowledge of interferometry
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering
  • Experience with opto-mechanical components and manufacture.
