About the Role

The Head of Decarbonization Equity Investments will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in the selection, investment, and monitoring of decarbonization funds. This role will be part of a newly created unit within Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) at BBVA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of [8] people in the selection, investment, and monitoring of decarbonization funds.
  • Develop and implement investment strategies for decarbonization funds.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate investment opportunities.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of the decarbonization fund portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, fund managers, and industry experts.

About the Team

The team will be responsible for investing in funds that support decarbonization efforts, such as venture capital, private equity, and infrastructure funds. The team will work closely with other departments within CIB to identify and evaluate investment opportunities.
