Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Protec Fire Detection PLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and installing electrical systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit quotations in accordance with client and British Standard requirements.
  • Assist with technical bid writing, including methodologies, sequencing, and technical submission documents.
  • Prepare conceptual electronic design drawings and system schematic wiring details.
  • Liaise with the Sales Manager/Sales Engineer and Project/Design Teams to prepare and submit quotations to prospective clients.
  • Assist in preparing cost information, profit forecast, and ensure tenders are properly collated.
  • Obtain competitive written quotations from suppliers or sub-contractors for inclusion in tender bids.
  • Technically assess third-party quotations for compliance.
  • Represent the Company at initial site meetings and complete site surveys as deemed necessary.
  • Process client sales orders and liaise with project engineers on installation orders to ensure customer/job files are prepared.
  • Undertake any administration and phone duties as required.
