Job Title: Senior Project Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team at CBRE UK. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high-profile projects in Birmingham, the Midlands, and nationally. You will work closely with our Director and be directly involved in the delivery of projects, focusing on technical proficiency and commercial understanding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing an Assistant role on larger projects and progressing to a more autonomous role on smaller projects, providing Project Management delivery service to developers and institutional investors on a broad range of office & residential projects.
  • Assisting with and managing the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects, ensuring consistency with CBRE company strategy, commitments, and goals.
  • Managing internal and external project teams (consulting and contracting) in the successful delivery of all projects and leading the planning and implementation of projects.
  • Managing client teams, design teams, third parties, and project teams generally.
  • Assisting with and managing the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Assisting with and managing the definition of project tasks and resource requirements.
  • Assisting with and managing the development of project programs and overall strategy plans.
  • Assisting with and managing the assembly and coordination of project team members as required to suit the complexity of the project.
  • Participating in the management of project budgets.
  • Tracking project deliverables using appropriate tools.
  • Assisting with and managing the monitoring and reporting on progress of the projects to all stakeholders.
  • Presenting reports defining project progress, problems, and solutions.
  • Participating in the implementation and management of project changes.
  • Participating in providing efficient and timely support to other CBRE service lines where required to assist in securing instruction.
  • Identifying and delivering opportunities to cross-sell other CBRE service lines.
  • Identifying fee-earning opportunities within both internal CBRE marketplaces and external marketplaces.
  • Directly contributing to the overall annual fee target of the Team.
  • Contributing to and assisting in the management of new business pipeline.
  • Actively operating within the CBRE 'One Team' and Teamship ethos.

Person Specification/Requirements:

  • Post APC (Project Management) with demonstrable project experience ranging across the life cycle stages (e.g., RIBA, MSP, APM, BoK).
  • Suitably experienced candidates from other backgrounds (e.g., Architectural, Engineering) would be considered.
  • Experience in Project Management, Employers Agent/Contract Administration roles.
  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical application of project management.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
  • Demonstrable interpersonal and communication skills/ability.
  • Able to form strong and productive relationships at peer group level.

Qualifications (Minimum):

  • Degree – BSc or BA.
  • MRICS (Project Management) or MAPM.

IT Technical Abilities:

  • Technically literate.
  • Excellent Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills.
  • Experience of Microsoft Project or equivalent.
  • Experience with Programme and Project Toolset.
