About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily care for dogs in our Rehoming Centre, adhering to Dogs Trust's code of practice and Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Educate potential new owners and the general public on dog care and welfare.
  • Establish excellent customer relations for the centre.
About You

We are looking for an excellent communicator with the ability to show empathy to both people and animals. A strong team player, you will have lots of energy and a positive upbeat attitude. Experience in working with or handling dogs is essential, as is knowledge of basic behaviour and health issues. Above all, you must be committed to the aims and objectives of Dogs Trust.

About the Team

Our rehoming centres house thousands of dogs each year until they find a loving new home. Our team is dedicated to providing the best possible life for our canine friends, and we pride ourselves on our staff providing exceptional customer service.

What You Need to Know

A full, manual driving licence is essential, as driving will be a part of the role. Working times are Monday to Sunday on a rota basis, 8am-4.30pm or 8.30am-5.00pm (subject to change and will be discussed during interview). This role is being offered as a Fixed Term Contract, ending January 2025.
