Teaching and Support Staff

Role Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Academic Learning Assistant. The successful candidate will support the classroom teacher in their daily tasks and ensure that SEN students participate in lessons and make good progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers in planning and delivering small group tutoring or catch-up programmes
- Plan and deliver one-to-one tutoring or catch-up programmes for students with special educational needs
- Support students during break times and lunch times as directed by the classroom teacher
- Maintain good working relationships with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to ensure effective communication
Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of a Level 2 Certificate in Early Years Education or Childcare (Level 3 preferred)
- Previous experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting
- A clear DBS check (or equivalent background check)
Salary: £22,000 - £24,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Location: Leeds
