About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our dynamic team at Protocol Education. As a SEN TA, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of additional needs, helping them access the curriculum and develop their social skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, adapting and differentiating lesson materials and activities as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies tailored to each student's needs.
  • Support students in developing their social, emotional, and communication skills, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Assist with personal care and mobility needs, if required, and participate in training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a school setting.
  • Understanding of various special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's development.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
