About the Job Description
The Survey Manager plays a crucial role in the technical execution of maritime and land-based surveys, gathering vital data for construction purposes.
They maintain direct communication with construction and engineering departments, ensuring geometric control of site structures and installations.
The Survey Manager oversees survey projects from inception to completion, creating optimal surveys that meet project needs.
Job Summary:
This is a senior-level position that requires a high level of expertise in survey management, team leadership, and data analysis.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in marine works, with experience in survey planning, quality assurance, and budget management.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and implement survey plans, ensuring accurate data collection and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Lead and manage a team of surveyors, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, contractors, and other professionals to integrate survey data into construction processes.
- Manage survey budgets and optimize resource allocation.
- Enforce safety protocols during fieldwork to ensure the well-being of surveying teams and site personnel.
- Prepare and present survey reports, maps, and data visualizations for client review and project documentation.
Requirements:
- Strong experience in marine works.
- Fluency in software programs related to survey and bathymetry.
- Master quantities (land and marine).
- Data analysis and statistical methods knowledge.
- Strong team management and leadership skills.
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of providing survey functions for civil and construction works.
- Hold a qualification in Land or Engineering Surveying or any other related qualifications.
- Demonstrative experience in modern survey instrumentation.
- CSCS, SSSTS, or SMSTS, First Aid certifications.
