Job Title: Service Supervisor
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Supervisor to join our team at Aberdeen City Council. As a Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and participating in the provision of high-quality person-centered care and support to service users in a range of accommodation settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and review the needs of service users and develop clear and accurate records, including risk assessments and support plans.
- Communicate effectively with service users, staff, carers, families, and internal/external professionals to achieve improved outcomes for service users.
- Provide leadership, supervision, guidance, and support to other members of staff.
- Work proactively and with limited direct supervision, while recognizing when matters need to be referred to a more senior manager.
- Manage and administer service users' medication accurately.
- Meet deadlines and maintain accurate records.
- Basic IT skills, including the use of smartphones and iPads/Microsoft Word.
- Ability to move and handle people and objects safely.
Requirements:
- Hold a minimum of SVQ 3 qualification.
- Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme Record (PVG) or willingness to become a scheme member.
- Registered or undertaking registration with the SSSC where applicable.
- PDA in supervision or willingness to work towards.
