We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated R&D Tax Consultant to join our team at Markel International Services Ltd. As an R&D Tax Consultant, you will play a key role in helping our clients navigate the complexities of Research and Development tax relief claims.
Key Responsibilities- Meet with clients and intermediaries to gather information and document R&D expenditure
- Take ownership of a portfolio of clients and intermediaries, providing support and assistance with tax relief claims
- Assist in the preparation of technical and financial reports for submission to HMRC
- Provide detailed technical and financial reports to clients and intermediaries
- Maintain contact with clients throughout the claim process and update internal reporting systems
- Either a Degree, Master's or PhD in a relevant field, such as Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Development
- Strong client-facing skills and experience, with the ability to discuss complex tax matters in a simple way
- Outstanding written English skills and strong numerical competence
- Ability to travel across the country for meetings and client visits
- Strong desire to build and maintain a portfolio of clients and intermediaries
