Job Description

At Veritas Hearing UK, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional audiological care to our clients. Our team of experienced Audiologists provides comprehensive hearing health assessments, advanced hearing solutions, and effective tinnitus management programs.

Role Responsibilities

As a Hearing Aid Dispenser Apprentice, you will work closely with one of our Audiologists to carry out fittings and customer rehabilitation of hearing aids. You will also be responsible for follow-up appointments, service and repair calls, and aftercare. Additionally, you will refer customers to your Mentor Audiologist who are ready to upgrade their existing hearing aids.

Training and Qualifications

The apprenticeship consists of on-the-job training and classroom-based learning in conjunction with De Montford University in Leicester. You will achieve a Level 5 award in hearing aid dispensing, allowing you to register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and work under the protected title of 'Hearing Aid Dispenser.'

Requirements

  • A willingness to learn and progress in the field of hearing healthcare
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in both clinic and remote settings
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A driving licence is required due to the domiciliary nature of the role
  • GCSE Maths & English or equivalent is a minimum requirement to apply for the Apprenticeship
