Palliative Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Palliative Care Specialist to join our dynamic team at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. As an Associate Specialist in Palliative Care, you will play a vital role in providing expert care to patients with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of patients with complex palliative care needs, providing symptom control, disease treatments, and psychological support.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure patients receive high-quality care, involving other professionals as needed.
- Attend and contribute to the palliative care weekly multi-disciplinary team meeting, maintaining effective communication across the care spectrum.
- Develop and provide training and education for the multidisciplinary team and other healthcare professionals to improve palliative care provision.
- Implement initiatives to improve the quality of palliative care, working with the team to develop and implement local and national guidance.
- 1st Level RN qualification
- Specialist Qualification in Palliative Care
- Evidence of recent professional development in Palliative Care
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
