Commissioning Engineer

Cherry Professional is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, and electrical systems, as well as previous experience working as a Commissioning Engineer. The role will involve traveling globally for 3 weeks at a time, setting up machines, and delivering training to operators at customer sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring machines are properly connected, commissioning the machine based on the Acceptance Protocol, and performing various test runs for production. They will also be required to solve technical problems, record and log machine parameters, and give instruction and training to machine operators. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to interpret and follow electrical drawings and schedules, as well as a willingness to travel and work away. A NVQ or degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required. This is a permanent position with a competitive salary and benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring machines are properly connected mechanically, electrically, hydraulically, and pneumatically.
- Commissioning the machine based on the Acceptance Protocol, including starting the machine after installation.
- Checking the machine for correct connection of all parts (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and software).
- Performing various test runs for production based on the Acceptance Protocol.
- Solving technical problems.
- Recording and logging to the PC all machine parameters at the time of transfer to the customer.
- Giving instruction and training to machine operators about the operation and maintenance of the machine.
- Leading and carrying out the installation and commissioning of second-hand steel processing machines.
- The possible addition of customer-specific customization to existing systems.
- Ensuring a good transfer to the customer and clear training so that the customer's operators can work with our machines.
- Drawing up a complete report, including safety, quality, and actions to be followed.
- Thinking about the work processes and making complicated proposals where necessary.
- Process Improvement, Quality, reporting, and Safety.
