Job Overview

We are partnered with a leading semiconductor company to find a skilled professional for their verification team, focusing on the verification of System-on-Chip (SoC) Register-Transfer Level (RTL) designs for Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) implementation.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining SoC verification testbenches, integrating third-party Verification Intellectual Properties (VIPs), writing and reusing test cases in C, creating test plans, and utilizing scripting languages such as Python, Perl, and Shell to automate tasks.

This position can be based out of our client's offices in Cambridge or Manchester.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement comprehensive verification strategies for assigned SoC modules.
  • Collaborate with design engineers, architects, and fellow verification engineers to understand design requirements and formulate verification plans.
  • Communicate verification progress, issues, and results effectively to stakeholders through strong verbal and written communication.
  • Automate test cases and regression suites to enhance verification efficiency and coverage.

Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong expertise in SoC verification using C-based test cases and familiarity with hardware description/verification languages such as SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL.
  • In-depth knowledge of computer architecture, bus protocols (e.g., AXI, AHB), and peripherals.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Tcl and Python.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering.
