Senior Hedge Fund Marketer

Selby Jennings is partnering with a rapidly expanding boutique asset management firm specializing in long-only global equity and hedge fund strategies. Launched during the COVID-19 period, they have quickly expanded, managing approximately $300 million with plans to launch a Cayman hedge fund targeting $50-100 million in seed assets under management. With a strong foundation and backing from industry leaders, they are poised for significant growth and seeking a senior individual to help raise assets from global hedge fund allocators.

The Role:

As a senior hedge fund marketer, you will drive capital-raising efforts for the hedge fund and alternative strategies. You'll target a global investor base, focusing on institutional allocators, family offices, and hedge fund investors. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-growth firm and play a key role in expanding investor relationships and growing assets under management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a global fundraising strategy focused on hedge fund allocators, institutional investors, and family offices.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in the alternative investment space.
  • Lead the outreach and engagement efforts for capital raising, including attending industry events and conferences.
  • Collaborate closely with the leadership team to identify and target high-potential investor segments.
  • Provide market insights and feedback to refine business development strategies and investor outreach.
Key Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in fundraising, particularly within the hedge fund or alternative investment space.
  • A strong global network of institutional allocators and family offices.
  • Proven track record of raising significant capital in the hedge fund industry.
  • Strategic, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to drive initiatives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
