Job Title: Academic Mentor

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Hackney, London

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic Mentor to join our team at EdEx - Education Recruitment. As an Academic Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic development of students in a secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run small, targeted interventions in groups and 1:1 for students who are struggling academically
  • Run booster sessions for students inside and outside of the classroom across various subjects - dependant on your subject speciality
  • Support class teachers across different subjects and support students development academically

Requirements:

  • Must have a 1st Class or 2:1 Degree from a reputable University
  • Aspiring Primary or Secondary Teacher
  • Must be willing to go above and beyond daily for the pupils
  • Confidence is key throughout these roles/School
  • Must be a team player

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £105 - £110 per day (Term Time Only)
  • The opportunity to train as a teacher in your chosen subject from September 2025
