Senior Lifeguard Job Description

GLL is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lifeguard to join our team at Britannia Leisure Centre in Hackney. As a Senior Lifeguard, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of lifeguards, providing mentorship and guidance, and ensuring the safety of our customers and the cleanliness of the pool environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and mentor a team of lifeguards
  • Ensure the safety of customers and the cleanliness of the pool area
  • Conduct regular pool rotations and supervise the setup of equipment
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and respond to customer queries
  • Support the team with daily tasks, including preparing studios, gyms, and sports halls for activities
Requirements:
  • Hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) with up to date training records
  • Have a can-do attitude, a focus on customer service, and a passion for working with people
  • Be a great team player with excellent communication and social skills
  • Have knowledge of health and safety procedures
