Job Title: Activity Coordinator

We are seeking a kind, enthusiastic, and fun Wellbeing Assistant to join our team as an Activity Coordinator. This role involves contributing to a caring and inclusive culture around therapeutic activities in the home and supporting the Wellbeing Coordinator in developing a comprehensive programme. The successful candidate will have a 20-hour contract available with an hourly rate of £11.44. Shift times are 10:00-15:00, with alternate weekend working, and some flexibility in hours is required to meet business needs.

Role Responsibilities:
  1. Contribute to the creation of ongoing weekly activity programmes that stimulate the physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing of all residents.
  2. Provide an innovative programme enabling residents to achieve extraordinary things.
  3. Motivate and guide staff to incorporate wellbeing and activity into their roles with support from the Wellbeing Coordinator.
  4. Be familiar with each resident's life story and Wellbeing and Activity plan, contributing to regular reviews.
  5. Ensure adequate and up-to-date risk assessments are in place for all planned activities in liaison with the Wellbeing Coordinator.
  6. Understand the needs of residents with various conditions.
  7. Promote and safeguard the welfare of adults in contact with the post holder.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Experience of working with older people is essential.
  2. Experience of delivering an activity programme is essential.
  3. Ability to assess, plan, and evaluate the activity needs of older people is essential.
  4. Ability to work individually and as part of a team is essential.
  5. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  6. Ability to prioritize and handle emergency situations effectively.
  7. Creative, imaginative, and enthusiastic with the ability to forward plan.
