Business Development Director

We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Director to drive commercial growth and expansion in our organization. As a key member of our senior team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic commercial plans that deliver strong year-on-year sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish a standard of commercial leadership excellence to support our purpose priorities and strategic vision.
  • Develop and implement strategic commercial plans that drive business growth and expansion.
  • Build and maintain close relationships with key players within our customer base.
  • Drive alignment and prioritization of commercial strategies and plans.
  • Drive the exploitation of new disruptive technologies.
  • Deliver sales projects and initiatives to completion, providing regular status reports.
  • Create and execute strategic demand initiatives targeting short and longer-term results.
  • Conduct market and user-based research to understand strategic, tactical, and commercial opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in a full life cycle engineering manufacturing and AM environment with sales or marketing.
  • Degree qualified or Apprentice trained in Engineering/Manufacturing/Marketing or similar calibre/QBE.
  • Proven commercial success in the exploitation of new technologies and building strong commercial relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, develop, and mentor internally and externally.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
