Senior Clinical/ Counselling Psychologist for Older Adult Mental Health Services

Hillingdon Older People’s Mental Health Services is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to work across two service areas: the Memory Service and Oak Tree Ward, our Older Adult acute mental health unit.
The successful candidate will provide highly specialist psychology services to individuals accessing Hillingdon OPMH services, including specialist assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, and monitoring of outcomes.
In this role, you will work as an autonomous professional within BPS and HCPC guidelines and codes of conduct, taking responsibility for interpreting policies within defined parameters.
Main Responsibilities
- To provide clinical supervision and consultation as appropriate, functioning as a lead specialist in the mental health care of older people and people living with dementia.
- To work with individuals, groups, and carers to identify and implement interventions tailored to their needs.
- To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current developments in professional and clinical practice, as well as relevant legislation and policies.
- To work in partnership with other professionals, including doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff.

Requirements
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent, accepted by the HCPC for professional registration.
- Registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist, with evidence of ongoing professional development.
- Completed training course in clinical supervision.
