Job Title: Behaviour Support Assistant

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team in a renowned specialist school in Cosham. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and young people with challenging behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a calm and purposeful learning environment, ensuring the well-being and safety of all pupils.
  • Develop strategies to improve pupils' mental well-being, addressing behavioural concerns and promoting positive relationships.
  • Support pupils with moderate learning difficulties, including those with ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, and Dyspraxia.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with vulnerable children and young people, preferably in SEMH settings, Youth Work, Police, or Army.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with pupils, staff, and parents, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
  • Passion for working with students who have additional needs, with a commitment to providing high-quality support.
