About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinician to join our team at HMP Littlehey. As a Senior Clinician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality healthcare services to adult male prisoners, working closely with a multi-disciplinary team to provide expert-level advice on prisoner healthcare and management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to medical emergencies as an emergency first responder, coordinating care and providing clinical leadership while delivering pre-hospital clinical care of a high standard to prisoners.
  • Administer medication in accordance with NMC guidelines and contribute to risk assessments of the 'in-possession' policy in collaboration with the Pharmacy Team.
  • Be professionally accountable for individual practice, working within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct, and maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical records on the clinical IT system.
  • Employ advanced clinical decision-making and triage skills to decide which clinical pathway fits the needs of prisoners at first contact.
