About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Support Professional - Patient Care Specialist to join our Inpatients team at KIMS Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong support worker to develop their career in a private healthcare setting.

Job Summary

This role involves supporting the nursing staff caring for patients throughout their stay, from admission to discharge. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for monitoring patients' conditions, taking temperatures, pulse, respirations, and post-surgery vital signs. You will also be expected to chaperone patients when required, undertake phlebotomy when appropriately trained, and respect and ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate good clinical practice at all times and be accountable for own actions.
  • Monitor patients' conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations, and post-surgery vital signs.
  • Chaperone patients when required.
  • Be willing to undertake phlebotomy when appropriately trained.
  • Respect and ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
Main Duties

The successful candidate will have a caring and compassionate attitude, good communication skills, and experience working as a support worker in a healthcare setting. A background in a hospital environment is advantageous but not essential.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

A caring and compassionate attitude.Good communication skills.Experience working as a support worker in a healthcare setting.An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or Care Certificate (desirable).A willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
