We are seeking a highly skilled Science Journalist/Writer/Meteorologist to become our next Weather Journalist.

About the Role

This position will be responsible for communicating the daily weather forecast, delivering authoritative weather content, and increasing the reach and engagement of our written content across various channels.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Deliver High-Quality Written Forecasts: Create engaging and informative daily weather forecasts that capture audience attention and drive engagement.
  2. Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with the Press Office and Content Team to scope, test, and deliver weather content that resonates with the media and public.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Meteorology, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in science writing, broadcasting, or meteorology.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
What We Offer

A competitive salary range of £35,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.

Working Arrangements

This is a full-time position, working 09:00-17:00, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of hybrid working arrangements.
