Job Title: Night Shift Team Leader

Pro-Resourcing Ltd is currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established engineering business, for a Night Shift Team Leader position.

The Role:
  • Supervise team members daily during the normal operation of a busy production environment, prioritizing production and demand requirements.
  • Ensure that necessary tooling, fixtures, and information are available for team members when required.
  • Identify engineering requirements and issues, communicating them to relevant departments, including Production Planner, H&S, Commercial, Maintenance, and Engineering.
  • Manage staff attendance and development, conducting yearly PDRs for each team member.
  • Monitor and manage work attendance, identifying training requirements and capability issues.
  • Conduct daily meetings to update SQCDP charts.
  • Operate CNC milling machines and other workshop equipment as needed.
  • Set and prove out jobs, ensuring quality throughout production runs.
  • Run milling machines after setting, maintaining quality throughout production runs.
  • Operate CNC and Manual CMM machines, following instructions to check drawing compliance of manufactured parts.
  • Attend weekly production meetings.
  • Ensure health and safety guidelines and practices are maintained and developed.
  • Comply with relevant H&S policies and procedures, demonstrating compliance within the workplace.
  • Train and inform operators on relevant H&S matters.
  • Communicate issues through appropriate channels to engineering, commercial, and technical departments.
  • Recommend courses of action for moving capacity, ensuring customer deliveries and KPIs are met.
  • Identify and develop manufacturing improvements and procedures.
  • Understand individual quality requirements imposed by customers and ensure production meets these requirements.
Engineering Knowledge:
  • Good understanding of engineering practices and methods.
  • Knowledge of powder metallurgy processes.
  • Knowledge and understanding of machining methods, particularly vertical CNC milling machines.
Working Hours:

Sunday to Thursday, 10pm - 6am
