About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at Widewell Primary School. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to engage in their learning and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with SEND in a primary school setting
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment
  • Provide one-to-one support to pupils with SEND, as needed
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to promote positive behavior and social skills
Requirements
  • Experience of working with pupils with SEND in a primary school setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, teachers, and other support staff
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced school environment
  • GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English grade C/4 or above
