**About the Role**
We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Database Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Redcentric. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high availability and disaster recovery strategies for our client base's database services.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SQL Server administration, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, and high availability solutions. You should also possess mid-level Oracle DBA skills and expertise in SQL Server performance tuning, backup and recovery, and automation scripting.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery strategies for SQL Server databases.
- Administer SQL Server databases, ensuring patching, upgrades, index maintenance, and query optimization for optimal performance and stability.
- Provide mid-level support for Oracle environments, handling routine database tasks such as backups, monitoring, and performance tuning under the guidance of senior Oracle DBAs when needed.
**Requirements**
- Senior-level SQL Server DBA experience: Proven expertise in managing large and complex SQL Server environments.
- Mid-level Oracle DBA experience: Competence in managing Oracle databases at an intermediate level.
- Experience with cloud platforms: Familiarity with cloud-based database services (e.g., Azure SQL).
**Estimated Salary:** £75,000 - £95,000 per annum
