We are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to join our team as a Logistics Operations and Systems Administrator. As a key member of our distribution centre operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the warehouse and transport logistics teams to ensure the efficient running of distribution and transport operations for Octopus Energy Services.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the site operations teams to achieve a high level of service quality to our customers.
- Work in an environment that requires an overview of operations, similar to a control tower, to control the flow of work and achieve the best service and efficiency.
- Utilize analytical skills to work with spreadsheets and carry out high-level analysis.
- Confidently work with various systems, including automation systems and robotics.
- Coordinate pick wave releases and advise managers on resource allocation to achieve a smooth-running operation.
- Be the main point of contact between the installation scheduling team, the distribution team, and our transport delivery partners to coordinate activities and achieve service goals.
- Maintain training records and coordinate re-training as necessary to ensure the team operates safely and effectively.
- Ensure the operation maintains high quality and accuracy by coordinating stock checks, carrying out physical stock checks, and conducting customer order quality checks as an independent auditor.
- Perform periodic analysis of product storage positions and coordinate subsequent movements to provide the most efficient product layout.
- Proficient in computer systems and comfortable adopting and promoting the use of new technology.
- Flexible to work and lead shifts allocated between 06:00 – 22:00 any day of the week.
- Focused on output, prioritizing what's important versus what's not, and striving to improve processes.
- Excellent organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Able to work effectively with a diverse team of humans.
- Previous warehouse or transport scheduling experience is an advantage.
- Full Clean Driving license (required for driving and warehouse support).
