Forensic Psychologist Opportunities

At Serco Limited, we have an exciting opportunity for a Forensic Psychologist to join our team at HMP Ashfield in Bristol.
This is a Full Time, Permanent position with 40 hours working per week.
The estimated salary for this role is £45,000 Per annum - could be exceeded dependent upon experience + Company Benefits.
As a Forensic Psychologist, you will deliver psychological services, including completing psychological assessments and undertaking individual work. You will also help foster an environment focused on safety and rehabilitation.
You will need to complete the following tasks:
- Complete psychological assessments, including HCR-20, SARA, WAIS, IPDE, and PCL-R.
- Prepare parole reports and directions.
- Manage and supervise forensic psychologists-in-training and programmes staff.
- Conduct research and consult with other prison staff.
- Make decisions regarding suitability of candidates for accredited interventions.
- Provide staff training.
- Ensure all activities adhere to the Code of Conduct of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:
Minimum:
- We welcome people who are still in training and are close to qualification. If you are within six months of becoming Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- If you're already a forensic psychologist-in-training on the BPS route, you must have fully completed Stage 1 of the Qualification in Forensic Psychology and the majority of Stage 2.
- If you're already a forensic psychologist-in-training on the Doctorate route, you must have completed all practitioner placements and be within six months of becoming registered with the HCPC.
Desirable:
- Qualified Forensic Psychologist registered with HCPC.
We are looking for someone with knowledge of psychological theory regarding treatment of violent and sexual offending.
The ideal candidate will also have experience in the administration, scoring, and interpretation of psychological assessments such as WAIS, HCR-20, PCL-R, and IPDE. They should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work collaboratively with offenders, and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary way.
